Update persistance

Hello all, dear programmers. I tried to change the persistence to keep on a greenup bet before the event started, but unfortunately it doesn't execute it. It would be great to have this option to flag cancel on play or keep on play when we make a trade. I would recommend adding this option to the bet place and greenup confirmation pop-ups.

Please confirm your scenario:

1) Original bet is placed before Inplay with "Cancel at InPlay" persistence
2) From the Unmatched bets list you are trying to change persistence to "Keep Inplay"
3) "Bet already taken" error occurred.

Most likely this error can be explained by full or partial match of you unmatched order before you tap "Change persistence" button. So you cant change the persistence because bet status has been changed from UNMATCHED to MATCHED or order ID has been changed (in case of partial match).

Did you try to tap "Refresh list" menu item and then to try change persistence again?

Yesterday, Sunday, we tested this scenario about 30 minutes before the event started:
- We placed a buy order UNDER 2.5 AT ODDS 2.10 with cancel to play.
Obviously, the order was executed.
- Then we greened up, for example, at ODDS 1.90, went to my bet, and tried changing the persistence from cancel to play to keep in play.
- We can confirm that it doesn't change the persistence.

I think most traders find it convenient to:
1) place the bet with CANCEL on PLAY
2) green up with KEEP on PLAY

Unfortunately we still not able to reproduce the issue using BetOnDroid v.3.1.11

Steps toi reproduce:
1) Place two unmatched orders with "Cancel at Inplay" persistence
2) For the first unmatched order we edit order using "Market view" and set "Keep at Inplay" persistence. IT WORKS. Persistence updated. See screenshots
3) For the second unmatched order we edit order using "List of unmatched orders" view and set "Keep at Inplay" persistence. IT WORKS. Persistence updated. See screenshots



The questions are

a) Did you tap "Update persistence" button in order to update persistence?
b) How did you notice the persistence doesnt change? Did you see the error? Did you check order persistence on the main Betfair website?
c) Once you tap "Update persistence" button please try to tap "Refresh" button to refresh orders list and to see updated persistence.

Finally

If you still cant update persistence of your order please try to update it using main Betfiar web site. In order to confirm that you account or geo location position dont have any restrictions for that bet action.

Most likely you are doing steps below.

1) Place unmatched order with "Cancel at Inplay" persistence
2) Open list of orders and update price or size of the order
3) Trying to update order's persistence

At this point your orders are not refreshed. And you still see the "old order" (with not updated size or price)
If you will try to update persistence on that order you will see expactable error because that order is not valid anymore since it was updated.

In order to prevent the error try to tap "Refresh" button or close and open again the orders list window

Just FYI

I strongly believe BetOnDroid v.4.0.0 will be release till the end of summer.

It includes "Automatic green up" feature where automatic green up bet persistence can be castomized separately from the direct order.
