Invalid Profit Ratio
Invalid Profit Ratio
Hi been using v3.02 for a while now without problems, but for some reason today when I try and hedge my profit an invalid Profit Ratio message comes up and a bet £2.00 gets placed on the 1.01 lay any ideas?

Re: Invalid Profit Ratio
It is very hard to make decision on such few inputs..
Did you mean that you have seen invalid profit ratio in bet confirmation screen or you have noticed mistake once bet was put on market?
Your hedge bet type was LAY or BACK?
It shows up all the time or just one time only? Is it easy to reproduce?
What was the original bet?
How much outcomes were at original market? 2 or more?

Re: Invalid Profit Ratio
I have attached picture of what happens, basically I am scalping the horse racing market with £1.00 stakes and when I press the odds button on the middle to green up equal profits this is when the invalid Profit Ratio appears been using for a while and never happened before.
Re: Invalid Profit Ratio
I have attached a picture while not inplay as per my previous post.

Re: Invalid Profit Ratio
Is this anything to do with the API change implemented by BF yesterday during Ascot, with no notice?
Re: Invalid Profit Ratio
Not sure what are the new changes do you know?

Re: Invalid Profit Ratio
I'm new to all this so please don't quote me or rely on anything I say.
Its something to do with round bets or stopping lay bet less than minimum bet. It won't let you lay less than £0.80 and if you do it places a lay of £2 at 1.01
Something like that...

Re: Invalid Profit Ratio
It's not just a change to the API but the site.
You can still do this manually by placing a 1.02 bet for £2.00 at betfair and changing it after. What betondroid was doing was placing the bet at 1.01 for £2.00 (betfair min) and changing it after.
Can the people at betondroid amend software to place bet @ 1.02 instead and change from there? This still works.

Re: Invalid Profit Ratio
Thank you to all of you for your reports! This was really helpful.
INVALID_PROFIT_RATIO Issue currently confirmed on our side. That issue was explicitly introduced by new Betfair API release at June 19th, 2020.
Betfair suddenly has released that new API version in order to prevent minimum bet abuse.
BetOnDroid team is going to release hot fix at the next week
